Review: Citi Simplicity Credit Card

0% initial APR for 21 months on balance transfers: One of the longest introductory balance transfer periods we’ve found, you’ll get 0% introductory APR on your balance transferred for a full 21 months, meaning you’ll have nearly two years to pay off your balance.

0% initial APR for 12 months on purchases: You’ll also get a 0% introductory APR on new purchases for the first 12 months. This is a useful benefit if you plan to buy anything with the card.

Choose your payment due date: A little flexibility can go a long way when managing your finances. The card allows you to choose from any available payment date, be it the beginning, middle or end of the month. That way, you can set up automatic payments that line up with your paycheck.

No late fees: One of the most unique benefits is that there are never late fees. While you should always pay your bill on time, as late payments can affect your credit, it’s good to know that you won’t be charged if you slip up and miss a payment.

No APR penalty: If you miss a few payments, most credit cards will raise your interest rate up to their penalty APR. The Citi® Simplicity® Card never charges a penalty fee, so your APR isn’t at risk for late payments.

No annual fee: This card comes with no annual fee, which is an important feature if your goal is to pay off debt.
