People magazine has crowned actor Chris Evans as this year’s sexiest man alive.
The presentation was made on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, with the help of John Oliver and Dwayne Johnson.
In a bit that was broadcast on the showOliver sat in the show’s audience as Colbert announced the winner of two finalists: Oliver and Evans, whom Colbert called an “incandescent supernova of heat.”
When Evans’ name was announced, an angry Oliver booed the crowd and stormed out, demanding a “count” as he left.
The former “Captain America” star, who couldn’t make the show, was congratulated by Johnson on the set of his movie, “Red One.”
“It means a lot coming from a former sexiest man alive,” Evans tells Johnson in the video.
Johnson, a 2016 Sexiest Man cover star, however, corrects him: “I’m never giving up the title … I’m the Sexiest Man Alive in perpetuity, which means for life.”
Evans, confused, tries to get clarification, but Johnson stops him.
“Let me ask you a question, bro. Am I alive?… Still hot? You bet your hot mouth I am. Let’s share!”
Evans agrees and the two sexiest men live, apparently, happily ever after. But not before Johnson asks his co-star to say something “sexy” on camera and Evans obliges.
“Go vote tomorrow.”
Evans succeeds fellow Marvel alum Paul Rudd in the sexiest mantel.
